These crisp beans are a refreshing balance for smoky, spicy ribs or a perfectly charred strip steak! Copyright 2008 The Hungry Mouseā¢/Jessica B. Konopa. The toasty sesame dressing gets its sweetness from a drizzle of seasoned rice wine vinegar - and of course, from the peas themselves. I used chili flakes which had a lot of spice and bite to them. Ingredients:
1 lb fresh sugar snap pea |
6 tablespoons toasted sesame oil |
2 teaspoons seasoned rice vinegar |
1 teaspoon chili flakes |
1 garlic clove, mashed |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
2 teaspoons sesame seeds |
Directions:
1. Put the snap peas in a medium bowl or a gallon size zip-top bag. 2. In a small bowl, whisk together the sesame oil, rice vinegar, chili flakes, garlic, and salt. 3. Taste and adjust seasoning. 4. Pour dressing over the snap peas and toss to coat well. 5. Sprinkle on sesame seeds and toss again to distribute. |
