one of my favorite spice mixes is salad supreme... that is why this recipe caught my eye... it is a great way to use up several cucumbers at a time... the recipe is from Charles Gipe, Jr., Executive Chef Ingredients:
4 cucumbers, trimmed and peeled, cut in half and sliced thin |
1 red onion, sliced thin |
1/2 cup white vinegar |
1 tablespoon salad supreme |
2 tablespoons sugar |
salt and pepper to taste |
4 tablespoons toasted sesame seeds |
1 tablespoon parsley |
Directions:
1. Mix cucumbers and red onion in a bowl. Mix vinegar and sugar until sugar is dissolved. Add spices and pour over cucumbers. Mix well and chill until ready to serve. 2. Yield: 4-6 servings |
