SESAME BEEF AND ASPARAGUS SALAD This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Cash Estate in Midlothian, Texas in 1991 Ingredients:
1 pound top round steak |
4 cups fresh asparagus cut in 2” pieces |
3 tablespoons soy sauce |
2 tablespoons sesame oil |
1 tablespoon rice wine vinegar |
1/2 teaspoon grated ginger root |
sesame seeds |
lettuce leaves optional |
Directions:
1. Broil steak to desired doneness then cool and cut into thin diagonal strips. 2. Cook asparagus in small amount of water for 60 seconds then drain and cool. 3. Combine beef and asparagus. 4. Blend soy sauce, oil, vinegar and ginger then pour over beef and asparagus. 5. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and toss lightly. 6. Serve warm or at room temperature on lettuce leaves. |
