Ingredients:
1 pound fresh asparagus |
2 tablespoons peanut oil, divided |
2 large shallots, minced |
1 tablespoon sesame seeds |
1/8 teaspoon freshly ground pepper |
2 teaspoons soy sauce |
1/2 teaspoon dark sesame oil |
Directions:
1. Snap off tough ends of asparagus. Cook half of asparagus in 1 tablespoon hot peanut oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat 3 to 4 minutes on each side. 2. Stir together shallot and next 4 ingredients. Sprinkle half of shallot mixture over asparagus in skillet; cook 1 to 2 minutes or until shallot is tender. Remove asparagus from skillet, and keep warm. Repeat procedure with remaining asparagus, peanut oil, and shallot mixture. |
