Between the teachings of my Grandmother, an Aunt, my Mother and several restaurants I learned a lot about serviette/ napkin folding.. Works well with cloth napkins, or larger paper ones. I have included step-by-step photographs to illustrate/suppliment the written directions. For neater presentation use ironed napkins for this fold. This is informal elegance at it's easiest and best. Ingredients:
1 paper, serviette (large) |
1 cloth, serviette (large) |
4 ribbon, strings |
Directions:
1. Lay your serviette square out flat before you. 2. Pick up the napkin at the very cental point, letting the 4 corners hang loosely but fairly evenly. 3. Tie either at the half way point or about 1/3rd of the way from the central point, depending on how big your serviette is and what looks best accordingly. 4. Insert flower(s) of your choice for additional elegance. |
