Simple rice side dish. Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups uncooked long-grain rice |
1 1/2 cups water |
1 (10 1/2 ounce) can beef consomme, undiluted |
2 tablespoons chopped green peppers |
2 tablespoons butter |
1 teaspoon worcestershire sauce |
1 teaspoon soy sauce |
1/8 teaspoon onion powder |
Directions:
1. Combine all ingredients in a Dutch oven; bring to a boil. Cover, reduce heat, and simmer 20 minutes or until rice is tender and liquid is absorbed. |
