1 teaspoon baking powder |
1/2 teaspoon baking soda |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
1/2 cup chocolate chips |
2 egg whites |
1 cup brown sugar |
1/2 cup chopped walnuts |
Directions:
1. Cream tog shortening, 1/4 cup brown sugar and 1/4 cup white sugar; then add beaten egg yolks, milk, flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt. 2. Spread evenly into a greased 9 x 13 inch pan. 3. Spread with chocolate chips. 4. Beat the egg whites, then add 1 cup brown sugar and walnuts. 5. Spread on top of the mixture in the baking pan and bake for about 30 minutes in a 350 degF oven. |
