A must for summertime. I make this almost every weekend my family likes it so much. Ingredients:
2 (15 ounce) cans pear halves in natural juice, reserve juice |
1 (3 ounce) package lime jell-o gelatin |
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened |
2 tablespoons milk |
1 (8 ounce) container cool whip, thawed |
Directions:
1. In a saucepan, heat 1 cup reserved pear juice to boiling. 2. In a small bowl add lime jello; pour pear juice over jello; stir until dissolved; set aside. 3. In a large bowl, beat cream cheese with milk until smooth; blend in jello mixture. 4. Chill in refrigerator until partially thickened, about 20-30 minutes. 5. In a small bowl, mash pears until smooth. 6. Fold pears and Cool Whip into jello mixture. 7. Pour into a mold. 8. Chill until set, about 2-3 hours. 9. Dip mold in warm water for approx 5 minutes. 10. Invert onto serving platter. |
