Amazing for a lazy Sunday morning breakfast. Top it with butter, honey or your favorite jam. Ingredients:
2/3 cup butter, melted |
1/3 cup milk |
1 egg |
1 1/2 cups flour |
1/8 cup oatmeal |
1/4 cup sugar |
1 tablespoon baking powder |
1 teaspoon cream of tartar |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1/2 cup raisins |
Directions:
1. Add butter, milk and egg to combined dry ingredients. 2. Mix just until moistened. 3. Stir in raisins. 4. Shape dough to form a ball. 5. Pat out to form an 8 circle on a lightly greased and floured baking sheet. 6. Score into 8 to 12 wedges. 7. Bake 12-15 minutes at 425 degrees. 8. Serve warm. |
