An old standby for something chewy and sweet. I have made this since 1968. Ingredients:
1/2 cup butter or 1/2 cup margarine |
1 cup packed brown sugar |
2 cups quick-cooking rolled oats (20 minutes) |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1 teaspoon baking powder |
Directions:
1. Combine butter or margarine and sugar in a sauce pot. 2. Cook and stir until butter melts. 3. Add in the remaining ingredients, mix well. 4. Pour into a greased 9x7-inch brownie pan. 5. Bake at 350°F for 20-25 minutes. 6. Cool, and then cut into squares. |
