this crisp, thick and buttery cookie is an old delicacy from scotland.
Ingredients:
3/4 cup butter, softened
1/4 cup sugar
2 cups flour
Directions:
1. cream together the butter and sugar.
2. work the flour in with your hands.
3. chill.
4. roll the dough to 1/3- 1/2 inch thick.
5. cut into desired shapes.
6. place on ungreased baking sheet and bake in a 350f preheated oven for 20-25 minutes.
7. (the tops will not brown.).
