Snack my mom used to make all the time when I was younger. Super easy and super tasty! Ingredients:
6 cups raw quick-cooking oats (not instant) |
1 1/3 cups white sugar |
1 cup flour |
1 tsp. salt |
3 sticks butter or margarine |
2-3 tsp. vanilla |
lightly greased 9 x 13 in. baking pan |
Directions:
1. In large bowl, combine oats, sugar, flour and salt 2. Mix in butter with hands (fun for kids!) until mixture resembles course cornmeal 3. Stir in vanilla 4. Flatten out in baking pan and bake for 25-30 minutes 5. Cut while still warm |
