THIS RECIPE IS GREAT AS A STARTER FOR A MEXICAN NIGHT, GOOD FOR A SNACK, OR A LATE NIGHT MUNCH. Ingredients:
1 box (4.6oz) taco shells (12 shells) or tortilla chips |
1 lb. lean ground beef |
1 pkg. (1.25oz) taco seasoning mix |
3 cups shredded lettuce |
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (4oz) |
1 medium tomato, diced |
1 cup thick n' chunky salsa |
Directions:
1. 1. HEAT OVEN TO 375F. BREAK TACO SHELLS IN HALF; ARRANGE IN SINGLE LAYER ON UNGREASED COOKIE SHEET. 2. BAKE 5 TO 7 MINUTES. 3. 2. MEANWHILE, PREPARE GROUND BEEF WITH SEASONING MIX AS DIRECTED ON PKG. 4. 3. LAYER LETTUCE, SEASONED GROUND BEEF, CHEESE, TOMATO AND SALSA ON LARGE PLATE.
