These biscuits are very easy and never seem to disappoint. I love to make them whenever my siblings come to visit and serve them with a bit of honey.
Ingredients:
3/4 cup all-purpose flour (separated)
1/2 tablespoon baking powder
1/8 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup cold butter
1/3 cup skim milk
1 egg white
cooking spray
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees (Fahrenheit).
2. Combine 1/2 cup of all purpose flour, baking powder, and salt in a medium-sized mixing bowl.
3. With a butter knife, cut butter into thin pieces.
4. Stir sliced butter into dry ingredients a little at a time until the mixture resembles coarse crumbles.
5. Pour in milk and egg white.
6. Stir.
7. Add the remaining flour (1/4 cup).
8. Stir again. (The mixture should be slightly thick and elastic).
9. Spray a cookie sheet with cooking spray.
10. Scoop biscuit mix onto the prepared cookie sheet (about 1/4 of the mix per biscuit).
11. Bake in the preheated oven for 17 - 23 minutes (cooking time will vary depending on your oven) or until biscuits are golden and cooked through.
12. Let biscuits cool slightly before serving.
13. Enjoy (and tell me what you think)!
