Family Recipe. Ingredients:
2 cups sourdough batter |
1 cup milk or 1 cup water |
3 eggs |
1/4 cup oil |
sugar |
1 1/2 teaspoons salt |
1 teaspoon baking soda, dissolved in a little water |
4 cups flour |
Directions:
1. Mix as you would for yeast bread, not too stiff. 2. Place in lightly greased container and let rise to double in bulk. 3. Roll out on a floured board and cut to desired pieces. 4. Fry in deep Crisco oil. Make plenty. |
