Fresh, hot, LOW FAT biscuits for a meal or snack anytime. This recipe is from the Company's Coming - Light cookbook. Ingredients:
2 cups all-purpose flour |
1 teaspoon baking soda |
1 teaspoon cream of tartar |
2 tablespoons granulated sugar |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
2 tablespoons margarine |
3/4 cup sour skim milk (1 tbsp vinegar plus milk) |
1 tablespoon vinegar |
Directions:
1. Measure first 5 ingredients into bowl. 2. Cut in maragarine until crumbly. 3. Add sour milk. Stir until soft ball forms. 4. Divide into 4 equal balls, then divide each ball into 4 smaller balls. 5. Arrange on an ungreased baking sheet. 6. Bake at 425F for 10 to 15 minutes until risen and browned. 7. Makes 16 scones. |
