Family Recipe. Ingredients:
2 cups buttermilk |
2 eggs |
2 tablespoons margarine, melted |
2 compressed yeast cakes (with a little bit of warm water) |
1 teaspoon salt |
1/2 teaspoon baking soda |
3 teaspoons baking powder |
2 tablespoons sugar |
flour, sifted |
oil |
Directions:
1. In a large bowl, wisk buttermilk, eggs, and margarine. Add yeast cakes. 2. In a small bowl, combine salt, baking soda, baking powder and sugar. 3. Add enough flour until dough is easy to handle. 4. Raise 2 hours. Roll out 1/4 think. Cut and deep fry in oil. |
