Shuler's was a very well known restaurant in Michigan with great food. Now that they are no longer in business, it's nice to have a few of their recipes! Found in March 30, 2004, Detroit Free Press. Serve over Schuler's Famous Meatballs. I've not made this yet. Ingredients:
1 teaspoon salt |
1/2 cup sugar |
1/4 cup brown sugar |
3 cups beef stock |
1/2 cup prepared mustard |
1/4 cup white vinegar |
1/8 cup liquid smoke |
1/2 cup worcestershire sauce |
1 cup ketchup |
Directions:
1. In large, heavy pot combine all ingredients and simmer, uncovered, for 2 hours.
2. Stir often.
