From The Complete Round the World Meat Cookbook. Ingredients:
1 ready-to-eat ham steak (2 pounds) |
1/2 cup chopped onion |
1/2 cup peeled chopped tomato |
1 cup dry red wine |
1/2 cup beef broth |
1 bay leaf |
1 tablespoon butter |
1 tablespoon flour |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 375°F. 2. Place ham in a baking dish. 3. Add onions, tomatoes, wine, broth and bay leaf. 4. Bake for 45 minutes, basting frequently. 5. Knead butter and flour together. 6. Stir into gravy a little at a time, stirring until thickened. |
