Delicious way to liven up green beans. Make it as spicy (or not) as you want. Ingredients:
1 lb green beans, cleaned and ends cut ('3-4 cups) |
2 hot red chili peppers, chopped (optional instead of oil) |
1 red pepper, chopped coarsely |
1/2 onion, chopped |
2 garlic cloves, chopped |
3 tablespoons sesame oil |
1 teaspoon hot chili oil (i use 1-2t) |
1 tablespoon ground ginger |
1 teaspoon chili powder |
2 tablespoons cornstarch, mixed in 2 tbsp water |
1 tablespoon rice vinegar |
2 teaspoons soy sauce |
Directions:
1. Coarsely chop red pepper and mix with green beans. Chop garlic, onions, and spicy red chilies. 2. Heat oils and sauté green beans and red peppers for 5 minutes. 3. Add the onions, garlic, spicy chilies, and ginger and sauté 3 more minutes. 4. Add the corn starch mixture and bring to a boil. 5. Lower the heat and add the chilli powder, rice vinegar, soy sauce. Mix and remove from heat. |
