This will make your house smell SOOOOOOO Holiday !! I have made this for 4 years in a row, at Christmas time. It is neat, because you make everything in a saucepan.........turn on your burner when you want that wonderful Holiday aroma throughout your house , then you turn of your burner, but leave the pan for whenever you want another whiff....then you just your burner back on. NOTE: ALWAYS make sure there is water in the pan!!!! If the water level gets low, you just add water...I keep mine going all during the Holidays, although I have added a few more spices, according to how strong it still smells, after a week of using. ALso, one year it went moldy!!!! Guess I had been using too long.
Ingredients:
2 cinnamon sticks
3 whole cloves
3 whole allspice or 1 1/2 teaspoons ground allspice
3 cups water
Directions:
1. Combine everything in a small saucepan.
2. Bring to boil, reduce heat to lowest setting.
3. Let simmer for hours.
4. IMPORTANT!
5. Add more water as needed.
