wonderfully sweet cherries, much better than the day glo ones found in the jars. Ingredients:
350 g cherries, stoned |
25 g caster sugar |
1/2 cinnamon stick |
5 drops rose water |
50 ml water |
Directions:
1. Place cherries in a pan with 50ml water, sugar and cinnamon. 2. Bring to the boil and simmer (covered) for 3 minutes. 3. Remove the cherries and boil the remaining syrup until it is reduced by half. 4. Pour syrup over cherries and sprinkle with the rosewater. 5. Chill until needed. |
