Like a Dutch baby or german pancake baked in the oven in an iron skillet. Topped with fruit and powdered sugar or brown sugar. I found this recipe in the newspaper 25 years ago and make it often, my family loves it. I put it under the broiler to brown on top, this is the best part. Ingredients:
1/2 cup butter |
3 eggs |
1 1/2 cups milk |
1/2 cup sugar |
3/4 cup flour |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
Directions:
1. Melt butter in oven proof skillet on top of stove. 2. Mix eggs, milk sugar, flour and salt with a whisk. 3. Pour into buttered skillet. 4. Bake in 425 degree oven for 20 minutes. |
