This recipe pairs fine egg noodles with carrots and dill. Ingredients:
1 small carrot, trimmed and scraped |
1/2 lb fine egg noodles (thin ones) |
salt & freshly ground black pepper |
5 tablespoons butter |
1 teaspoon fresh dill or 1/2 teaspoon dill weed, chopped |
Directions:
1. Julienne carrots into about 2 inch lengths. There will be about 2/3 cups. 2. Prepare noodles according to package directions to desired doneness. Drain. 3. Meanwhile, in a small skillet, melt 2 tablespoons butter over medium heat. Add carrots and season with salt and pepper. Cook about 2 minutes while stirring. Spoon cooked and drained egg noodles over carrots. Add dill and remaining butter and toss to combine. Serve hot. |
