Scalloped Tomatoes With a Kick |

I love this side dish! It came from an old friend of mine. There is a nice KICK from the jalapeno but not too hot! Ingredients:
1 quart canned tomato (home canned is good) |
1 egg |
1 small onion, diced |
1 stalk celery, diced |
1 tablespoon jalapeno pepper, diced |
1 1/2 cups dried bread, cubes |
6 slices bacon |
Directions:
1. Mix all ingredients (except bacon) together and pour into a 1&1/2 quart baking dish. 2. Lay bacon strips over top. 3. Bake at 350°F for 45-50 minutes. |
