Scalloped Potatoes With Bacon And Onion |

I borrowed Chefmeow's recipe and added a quarter of a white onion and about two tablespoons of bacon bits and a little extra cheese ;)... YUM! Ingredients:
2 tablespoons cornstarch |
2 cups milk |
2 tablespoons butter |
1 teaspoon salt |
1/8 teaspoon pepper |
6 medium potatoes peeled and thinly sliced |
1 1/2 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese |
2 tbsp real bacon bits |
1/4 white onion chopped |
Directions:
1. Mix cornstarch with small amount of cold milk then add to remaining milk. 2. Cook in the microwave in a quart size measuring cup stirring a couple of times until it thickens. 3. Add butter, salt, pepper and cheese. 4. Place sliced potatoes in a two quart casserole then mix with cheese sauce. 5. Bake uncovered at 350 for 60 to 90 minutes (depending on how deep dish is) |
