A Southern family favorite. Ingredients:
1 can new orleans oyster pieces, drained |
1 pint half-and-half |
salt and pepper |
1 sleeve saltine crackers, crumbled |
8 t butter, cut into pieces |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350. 2. Spray an 8 x 2 inch Pyrex dish with nonstick spray. 3. Place drained oysters in dish in an even layer. 4. Pour half-and-half over the oysters until they are just covered. 5. Season with salt and pepper to taste. 6. Cover evenly with crackers. 7. Dot with butter. 8. Bake until set and browned on top, about 40 minutes. |
