1 onion sliced thin |
1 1/2 cup(s) cubed, fully cooked ham |
1 tablespoon(s) butter |
Directions:
1. HEAT OVEN TO 350* GREASE 2-QT. CASSEROLE. HEAT 3 T. BUTTER IN PAN OVER LOW HEAT UNTIL MELTED. STIR IN FLOUR, SALT AND PEPPER. COOK OVER LOW HEAT; STIRRING CONSTANTLY; UNTIL SMOOTH AND BUBBLY. REMOVE FROM HEAT. STIR IN MILK. HEAT TO BOILING; STIRRING CONSTANTLY. BOIL AND STIR 1 MIN. LAYER 1/3 OF POTATOES, 1/2 OF HAM AND ONIONS AND 1/3 OF SAUCE IN CASSEROLE;REPEAT. TOP WITH REMAININGPOTATOES AND SAUCE. DOT WITH BUTTER. COVER AND BAKE 30 MIN.UNCOVER AND BAKE 60-70 MIN.OR UNTIL POTATOES ARE TENDER. LET STAND 10 MIN. |
