I got this recipe from a church friend a few weeks back when he had us over for a cookout. He served these as a side dish and burger topper and we all loved it. Hope you do too. Enjoy Ingredients:
4 green peppers |
1 cup milk |
8 saltine crackers crushed |
3 tablespoons margarine |
1/2 cup grated cheese |
1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper |
Directions:
1. Wash green peppers then remove seeds, and chop. 2. Simmer in lightly salted water until tender about 10 minutes. 3. Grease or butter casserole dish then layer cracker crumbs and green peppers. 4. Sprinkle with grated cheese and black pepper. 5. Pour milk over mixture to saturate cracker crumbs then dot with butter. 6. Bake at 350 for 30 minutes. |
