This recipe is from The Mississippi Cookbook. Recipe submitted by Mrs. Coburn Awtrey of Pheba, MS. Ingredients:
2 cups cream-style corn |
1 cup milk |
1 egg, well beaten |
1 cup cracker crumb |
1/4 cup onion, minced |
3 tablespoons pimiento |
3/4 teaspoon salt |
pepper, to taste |
1/2 cup cracker crumb, buttered |
Directions:
1. Heat corn and milk. 2. Stir in egg; then other ingredients; mix well. 3. Pour in greased 8-inch dish. 4. Sprinkle buttered crumbs over top of mixture in dish. 5. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. |
