Serve for dessert with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or use as a delightful side dish with pork entrees. Ingredients:
6 granny smith apples |
1/2 cup butter |
1 teaspoon cinnamon |
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg |
2 tablespoons lemon juice |
1 cup light brown sugar |
1/4 cup chopped pecans |
Directions:
1. Peel, core and slice apples. 2. Melt butter in a small saucepan and add cinnamon, nutmeg, lemon juice and brown sugar. 3. Heat until sugar is melted. 4. Place apples in a baking dish and pour mixture over apples. 5. Sprinkle pecans over top and bake for 45 minutes at 350°. |
