Raitas are yogurt-based condiments typically served with Indian and other highly seasoned foods to offset the spiciness. Ingredients:
1 (8-ounce) container plain yogurt |
2 scallions or green onions, minced |
1 1/2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro |
1/2 teaspoon ground cumin |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
Directions:
1. Combine all ingredients, stirring well. Cover and chill 1 hour. |
