Savory Zucchini Cheese Bread |

Instead of a sweet bread, this is another good way to use up extra zucchini Ingredients:
1 cup chopped onion |
1/4 cup butter |
2 1/2 cups bisquick |
1/2 teaspoon dried parsley |
1/2 teaspoon dried basil |
1/2 teaspoon dried thyme |
1/4 cup milk |
3 eggs |
1 1/2 cups shredded zucchini |
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese |
3/4 cup toasted chopped almonds |
Directions:
1. In saucepan, melt butter. 2. Cook onion until soft. 3. Cool slightly. 4. Mix onion mixture, bisquick, herbs, milk and eggs; beat on high for one minute. 5. Stir in remaining ingredients. 6. Spread in greased and floured 9 round pan. 7. Bake at 400 degrees for about 40 minutes until wooden pick comes out clean. 8. Cool slightly and remove from pan. |
