This tuna casserole will tempt you! It's not your mother's tuna casserole; it's a spiffed up version that is sure to please. Give this a try when you have a taste for tuna! You'll be glad you did when you taste this easy and delicious dish. Ingredients:
1/2 cup celery, chopped |
1/4 cup onion, chopped |
5 tablespoons butter, divided |
1 (10 3/4 ounce) can cream of mushroom soup |
1 1/2 cups milk, divided |
1 (12 ounce) can tuna, drained |
1 cup finely shredded sharp cheddar cheese |
1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
1/4 teaspoon pepper |
8 ounces medium egg noodles, cooked |
10 round ritz crackers, crumbled |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Spray a 2-quart casserole with cooking spray. 2. Place the cooked noodles in the prepared casserole. 3. Saute the celery and onion in 2 tablespoons of the butter. Add the remaining ingredients (except the noodles) and mix together well. 4. Pour tuna mixture over the noodles and toss lightly to coat. 5. Sprinkle the crumbs on toop and dot with the remaining 3 tablespoons of butter. 6. Bake in preheated oven for 25 minutes, until bubbly. |
