Savory Steaks and Mushrooms |

I don't remember where I found this recipe, but I'm trying it out for the first time tonight. So far, the aroma is wonderful! Hope it tastes as good as it smells. Ingredients:
1 lb cube steak |
1/2 cup all-purpose flour |
2 tablespoons oil |
2 cups sliced mushrooms |
1/4 cup water |
1 envelope onion soup mix |
1 can tomato, undrained and chopped |
hot noodles |
Directions:
1. Dredge the steaks in flour. 2. In a large skillet, heat the oil on medium high heat. 3. Brown the steaks. 4. Add the tomatoes, mushrooms, soup mix and water. 5. Bring to a boil. 6. Cover the skillet and reduce the heat. 7. Simmer for 30 minutes or until the steaks are tender. 8. Serve over hot noodles. |
