This is so good on a cold day... Ingredients:
3/4 cup smoked sausage |
2 celery ribs, sliced |
1 (16 ounce) package split peas |
2 (16 ounce) cans chicken broth |
1 (16 ounce) bag frozen chopped onions |
3 carrots |
1 bay leaf |
Directions:
1. Brown sausage in small skillet until browned, drain well. 2. Combine sausage & remaining ingredients in slow cooker. 3. Cover and cook on low 5 hours or until peas are tender. 4. Turn off heat. 5. Let stand 15 minutes to thicken. |
