I don't like plain oatmeal, and packaged breakfasts have too much sugar. This tastes a little bit like scottish oatmeal stuffing. Ingredients:
1/4 chopped onion |
2 c water |
1 c low sodium chicken broth |
1 1/3 c oats (not quick cooking) |
1/2 tsp poultry seasoning |
Directions:
1. prepare oats as on package, substituting chicken broth for a portion of the required liquid and adding onions and seasoning during cooking. 2. * reduce liquid if you prefer drier oatmeal |
