SAVORY LITTLE CHEESE CAKES DATED 1964 This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Williams Estate in Fort Worth, Texas in 1988. Ingredients:
2 tablespoons butter |
3-1/2 tablespoons flour |
4 tablespoons grated american cheese |
3 egg whites |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper |
Directions:
1. Melt butter then add flour and stir until well blended. 2. Add cheese and cut and fold in whites of eggs beaten until stiff. 3. Season with salt and cayenne then drop from tip of spoon on buttered sheet 1” apart. 4. Bake at 350 for 20 minutes. |
