Good with corn bread. Mom's recipe. Ingredients:
8 cups water |
2 cups raw brown lentils |
4 cups canned diced tomatoes |
2 stalks celery |
1 onion |
2 carrots |
1 dash ketchup |
1 dash tabasco sauce |
salt |
poultry seasoning |
Directions:
1. Wash and drain the lentils. 2. Place in pot with 8 cups water and salt. 3. Simmer 45 minute. 4. Add remaining ingredients and simmer 30 minute. |
