I've not tried this. It does not call for any other liquid other than the melted butter. I might try using chopped fresh sage and saute it in the butter with the onions. Ingredients:
2/3 cup butter |
1/2 cup minced onion |
2 1/2 quarts soft bread cubes |
2 1/2 teaspoons salt |
2 1/2 teaspoons ground sage |
1/4 teaspoon pepper |
Directions:
1. Melt butter in a skillet, add onion and cook until transparent. 2. Add bread cubes and seasonings. 3. Stir and heat until cubes are slightly brown. |
