Savory Garden-Fresh Burgers |

This is S-o-o-o-o-o delicious and very low in calories. Can be done in a frying pan, but does taste so much better on the grill - Ingredients:
1 lb ground chicken or 1 lb turkey |
1/2 cup sour cream or 1/2 cup yogurt |
1 lime, finely grated peel |
1 tablespoon dijon mustard |
1/4 cup fresh basil leaf, finely chopped |
2 tablespoons fresh thyme leaves or 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme |
1/4 tps. cayenne pepper |
Directions:
1. Grease grill and preheat to medium. 2. In a medium-sized bowl, blend all ingredients together. Mix well, then shape into 4 burgers, each about 1/2-inch thick. 3. Barbecue burgers with lid down until they feel firm when pressed, and no pink remains in center, fiom 7-12 minutes per side. Serve on crusty buns with favorite fixings. 4. EXTRA LEAN TIPS: Avoid using extra-lean ground chicken or turkey - It has been found a too dry patty. |
