Savory Cashew Gravy (Vegan) |

From a vegan e-cookbook....relying on all the vegan staples. Would be great with mashed potatoes! Ingredients:
2 cups water |
1/2 cup raw cashews |
1 tablespoon braggs liquid aminos (or soy or tamari sauce) |
1 tablespoon nutritional yeast |
1/2 teaspoon minced garlic (1 clove) |
1/4 cup chopped onion |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1 pinch ground rosemary |
Directions:
1. Blend the ingredients together in a blender or food processor until smooth. 2. Cook on medium heat on the stovetop, stirring constantly. Add some arrowroot and/or extra nutritional yeast if it needs thickening. |
