A tasty, savory bread with a hint of beer flavor. Great alone or as grilled cheese. Ingredients:
3/4 cup flat beer (i used yuengling lager) |
1/3 cup water |
2 tablespoons butter, cut up |
2 1/4 cups bread flour |
1 cup all-purpose flour |
1 1/2 teaspoons mustard powder |
1 tablespoon dried onion flakes |
1 teaspoon salt |
2 teaspoons sugar |
2 teaspoons yeast |
Directions:
1. Open a bottle of beer and keep it in the fridge overnight. It doesn't have to be completely flat, but just so it's not bubbling over when you go to make the bread. 2. Mix beer and water together, and heat in microwave for 1 minute, to very warm, but not boiling. Pour into bread machine pan. 3. Place all ingredients in order into bread machine pan. 4. Set bread machine to basic or rapid white, light crust. |
