Ingredients:
3 granny smith apples, peeled and coarsely chopped |
1/4 cup sugar |
1/4 cup apple cider |
4 whole cloves |
1/4 cup butter or margarine |
2 tablespoons prepared horseradish |
1 tablespoon lemon juice |
Directions:
1. Bring first 4 ingredients to a boil in a saucepan; reduce heat, and simmer 15 minutes. Cool slightly; discard cloves. 2. Process apple mixture in a blender or food processor, in batches, until smooth. Return to saucepan, and stir in butter, horseradish, and lemon juice. Cook over low heat 2 to 3 minutes or until thoroughly heated. |
