Sauteed Spinach And Garlic With Green Onions |

I took this old recipe and added green onions and bacon bits. It turned out very good! Ingredients:
2 tsp. olive oil |
4 cloves garlic, sliced thin |
12-ounces of fresh baby spinach, can use canned or frozen |
1 tsp. lemon juice |
1/4 tsp.kosher salt |
1/4 tsp. ground black pepper |
5 green onions, sliced thin, can use less, i just love them |
1/3 cup bacon bits |
Directions:
1. Heat oil in a large saute pan over medium heat. 2. Add garlic and green onions and saute, stirring continuously, 1 -1 1/2 minutes.Do not lt garlic and onions, burn. 3. Stir in spinach and cook, stirring continuously, until spinach has wilted, about 2 minutes, Remove from heat. 4. Stir in lemon juice, salt and pepper. 5. Add bacon bits and toss all together.. 6. Remove to a serving dish with a slotted spoon. |
