4 slices bacon (cut into 1 inch slices) |
1 onion (sliced) |
1/2 of the reserved cabbage (sliced thinly) |
2 tablespoons cider vinegar |
2 teaspoons sugar |
salt and pepper |
Directions:
1. Cook the bacon and set aside. 2. Add the onion and sauté in the bacon grease until very tender, about 7-10 minutes. 3. Add the cabbage, bacon, vinegar, sugar, salt and pepper and saute until the liquid disappears. |
