This dish makes brussel sprouts palatable, even delicious. Former b-s haters love it. Ingredients:
2-3 tablespoons olive oil. i use lemon-infused olive oil of my own making. |
15-20 brussel sprouts, enough to fill a 10-inch skillet |
salt |
pepper |
basalmic vinegar, the best you can afford |
Directions:
1. 1. Re-cut the brussel sprouts ends 2. Slice brussel sprouts in half to create a flat surface. 3. Heat olive oil in 10-in skillet. Sprinkle salt on bottom of skillet 4. Place brussel sprouts flat side down on skillet 5. Saute until soft and bottom of sprouts are carbonized 6. When easily penetrated by a sharp fork, place brussel sprouts on a plate which has been liberally sprinkled with basalmic vinegar, so that each half-sprout has vinegar on it 7. If lots of leaves of the brussel sprouts fall away in cooking, these can also be further saved and sauteed in more oil to create brussel chips. Also very delicious |
