A quick and easy side dish Ingredients:
1/2 cup water |
1 lb asparagus, trimmed |
2 tablespoons butter |
1/2 lemon, juice of |
1/8 teaspoon salt |
1/8 teaspoon pepper |
Directions:
1. Bring water to a boil in a large saute pan. Add asparagus and blanch for 2 minutes. Transfer asparagus to a plate and pour off the water. 2. Melt butter in the pan over medium heat. Add asparagus and saute 1 - 2 minutes, tossing to coat. 3. Squeese lemon over asparagus; season with salt and pepper. |
