Try these with roast pork, as well. Ingredients:
3 tablespoons butter |
4 large granny smith apples (about 2 1/4 pounds), peeled, cored, cut into 1/2-inch pieces |
2 tablespoons golden brown sugar |
1 tablespoon honey |
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg |
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon |
1/4 teaspoon grated orange peel |
Directions:
1. Cook butter in large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat until beginning to brown. Add apples and sauté until tender, about 9 minutes. Add all remaining ingredients; stir to blend. Cool. (Can be made 2 days ahead. Cover and chill.) |
