Going through my recipe books today, I ran across this simple tasty dessert and just happened to have apples on the counter. Taken from Cooking Light 2001. Ingredients:
3t butter |
6c granny smith apples, peeled, sliced, about 2 pounds |
1/2c brown sugar, packed |
1/8t ground cinnamon |
Directions:
1. Melt butter in a large skillet over medium-height. Add apple; saute 6 minutes or until apple is just tender. Stir in sugar and cinnamon. Cook 1 minute or until sugar melts. 2. Serving size: 1/2c; 137 calories; 30% from fat. |
